Project Description

Improvements to Moseley Avenue in Putnam County began this week which will require daytime lane closures and other possible impacts to residents and motorists.

The project, located between Edgemoor Street and U.S. 17, will resurface the road providing smoother pavement. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is overseeing this project which will also include curb and sidewalk improvements to meet current safety standards.

Sidewalk and curb work began Monday, April 5. Resurfacing is scheduled to begin April 12 and is expected to take approximately two to three weeks.

This project will take about 45 days to complete depending on weather and unforeseen conditions. During the project, daytime lane closures are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Night and weekend work is not scheduled at this time but may be allowed.

Halifax Paving Inc. of Ormond Beach was hired by Putnam County to do the work at a cost of $334,911.
