Project Description

Resurfacing from County Road 209 (West River Road) to State Road 19 (3 miles). Anderson Columbia Company Inc., of Lake City began November 16, 2009. Crews are working on final clean-up and and final striping. Work should be complete in early June. Anderson Columbia Company of Lake City was hired to remove the old asphalt and replace it with a new base layer and three layers of new asphalt. This three mile resurfacing project was combined with a short section of State Road 19 from State Road 100 to U.S. 17, where crews removed and replaced the top layer of asphalt. Both project combined cost $3,025,866.36 (combined with State Road 19 project).
