Which entrance and exit ramps will be permanently closed as part of the interchange construction at I-10 and I-95?
Interstate 95 entrance/exit ramps at McCoys Creek Boulevard and the existing I-95 southbound exit at Margaret Street will be closed with the new interchange. Permanent entrance and exit ramps will be constructed at Forest Street.

Will there be any accommodation for bicycles and pedestrians on State Road 9B?
No, State Road 9B is being constructed as a limited-access highway and will not accommodate pedestrians or bicyclists. However, bicycle and pedestrians are allowed along U.S. 1 and will be accommodated during construction.

How will State Road 9B - Phase One construction affect traffic on State Road 9A and U.S. 1?
Most of the construction on this phase of State Road 9B will take place away from traffic; however, restrictions are in place to accommodate motorists on State Road 9A and U.S. 1 during peak travel times. On State Road 9A, no lane closures are allowed during the day, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. weekdays or weekends. Short duration detours may be necessary during construction of the State Road 9A/9B southbound bridge construction. Advanced notice will be provided to alert motorists of scheduled detours and associated detour routes. On U.S. 1, no lane closures are allowed between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays. There are no lane restrictions on U.S. 1 on weekends.

Where will the bridge crossings be located on State Road 9B - Phase One?
State Road 9B -Phase One will include bridge crossings over Rudin Street, Powers Bay, Powers Bay Relief, Big Davis Creek Relief, Big Davis Creek, Cross Road and State Road 9A. An animal crossing will also be included at Powers Bay Relief with wildlife fencing to keep animals off the new roadway and guide them to the crossing.
All bridges will be built to accommodate future expansion without the need to be completely reconstructed.

Are there any restrictions for pile driving during State Road 9B - bridge construction?
Pile driving will not be allowed at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday and 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays. Pile driving is not allowed on Sundays or holidays.

Why must gopher tortoises be moved from the State Road 9B corridor?
Gopher tortoises are a threatened wildlife species and are protected by state law, Chapter 68A–27, Florida Administrative Code. Gopher tortoises must be relocated before any land clearing or development takes place, and property owners must obtain permits from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission before they can move them.

How many travel lanes will State Road 9B have?
State Road 9B will initially be constructed as a four-lane concrete divided highway, expandable to eight lanes. It will include bridge crossings over Rudin Street, Powers Bay, Powers Bay Relief, Big Davis Creek Relief, Big Davis Creek, Cross Road and State Road 9A. All bridges will be built to accommodate future expansion without the need to be completely reconstructed.

Will motorists on State Road 9B - Phase One have full access to State Road 9A and U.S. 1?
On the north end of the project, a new interchange between State Road 9A and State Road 9B will allow southbound State Road 9A traffic remain on State Road 9A or enter State Road 9 B. Northbound State Road 9B traffic will continue northbound onto State Road 9A. Northbound State Road 9b will not have access to southbound State Road 9A.
On the south end of Phase One, two new signalized intersections will provide direct connections between State Road 9B and U.S 1, just south of Bayard. Turn lanes will be constructed on U.S. 1 at the new signalized intersections to allow both north- and southbound motorists access between the two roadways.

Where will State Road 9B - Phase One connect to U.S. 1?
Two intersections will be constructed with U.S. 1 just south of Bayard, a little over a mile south of Old St. Augustine Road. One intersection will allow north- and southbound motorists on U.S 1 to access northbound State Road 9B, and the other intersection will provide southbound State Road 9B motorists access to north- and southbound U.S. 1.
