Traffic is now switched to the new northbound ramp and there are daytime and nighttime lane closures to finish paving. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph on I-75 and semi-trucks are allowed to use the northbound inside lane approaching the Newberry Road interchange. The sidewalk on the south side of the overpass between the northbound and southbound exit ramps remains closed. Pedestrians are directed to use the sidewalk on the north side of the road.

February 4 - February 10, 2012:
Daytime lane closures for northbound traffic north of US 441 (Exit 414) to place the final layer of asphalt and also at the US 41/441 interchange. Daytime lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic between the Alachua County line and north of US 41/441 to replace guardrail. Also, nighttime lane closures after 8 p.m. for northbound traffic just north of the Alachua County line (Santa Fe River bridge) with two lanes closed to correct the asphalt. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures. No lane closures allowed from Friday at 6 a.m. through Sunday at 9 p.m.
Interstate 75 traffic impacts
February 4 - February 10, 2012:
The on and off ramps at the I-10 interchange may be closed for resurfacing Sunday night through Thursday night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. each day. Detour signs will be posted. The schedule is:
- Sunday night I-75 southbound to I-10 westbound closed. Detour is I-75 southbound to US 90 (Exit 427) and re-enter I-75 northbound back to either I-10 eastbound or westbound. This adds 16 miles to the trip.
- Monday and Tuesday nights I-75 northbound to I-10 westbound closed. Detour is I-75 northbound to State Road 136, re-enter I-75 southbound to I-10 westbound. This adds 8 miles to the trip.
- Wednesday and Thursday nights I-75 southbound to I-10 eastbound closed. Detour is I-10 westbound to County Road 137 (Exit 292), re-enter I-10 eastbound. This adds eight miles to the trip.
All of the planned closures are subject to be rescheduled due to bad weather or other conditions.

The closings will occur from Sunday, February 5 through Friday, February 10 from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. This project should be finished by the spring of 2012.

Lanes will be closed nightly in both directions from Sunday, February 5 through Thursday, February 9. Single lanes and ramps will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and double lanes between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The nightly ramp closings include the northbound off ramps on I-95 to J. Mathews Bridge Repainting and Repair Project Traffic Alerts

Both westbound lanes on the bridge will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the nights of Monday, February 6, Tuesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 9 and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the night of Wednesday, February 8. The bridge WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED from 7 p.m. on Friday, February 10 until 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 12.
