February 4 - February 10, 2012: Traffic is now switched to the new northbound ramp and there are daytime and nighttime lane closures to finish paving. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph on I-75 and semi-trucks are allowed to use the northbound inside lane approaching the Newberry Road interchange. The sidewalk on the south side of the overpass between the northbound and southbound exit ramps remains closed. Pedestrians are directed to use the sidewalk on the north side of the road.

Interstate 75 Resurfacing from the Santa Fe River Bridge to US 441
February 4 - February 10, 2012: Daytime lane closures for northbound traffic north of US 441 (Exit 414) to place the final layer of asphalt and also at the US 41/441 interchange. Daytime lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic between the Alachua County line and north of US 41/441 to replace guardrail. Also, nighttime lane closures after 8 p.m. for northbound traffic just north of the Alachua County line (Santa Fe River bridge) with two lanes closed to correct the asphalt. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures. No lane closures allowed from Friday at 6 a.m. through Sunday at 9 p.m.

Interstate 75 traffic impacts
February 4 - February 10, 2012: The on and off ramps at the I-10 interchange may be closed for resurfacing Sunday night through Thursday night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. each day. Detour signs will be posted. The schedule is:

  • Sunday night I-75 southbound to I-10 westbound closed. Detour is I-75 southbound to US 90 (Exit 427) and re-enter I-75 northbound back to either I-10 eastbound or westbound. This adds 16 miles to the trip.
  • Monday and Tuesday nights I-75 northbound to I-10 westbound closed. Detour is I-75 northbound to State Road 136, re-enter I-75 southbound to I-10 westbound. This adds 8 miles to the trip.
  • Wednesday and Thursday nights I-75 southbound to I-10 eastbound closed. Detour is I-10 westbound to County Road 137 (Exit 292), re-enter I-10 eastbound. This adds eight miles to the trip.

      All of the planned closures are subject to be rescheduled due to bad weather or other conditions.

      February 4 - February 10, 2012: Lanes will be closed in both directions nightly at various locations on SR 9A from Monument Road to Heckscher Drive, on SR 9A at Merrill Road and on the Southside Connector from Atlantic Boulevard to SR 9A. The closings will occur from Sunday, February 5 through Friday, February 10 from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. This project should be finished by the spring of 2012.

      I-95 Pavement Improvements between Atlantic Blvd. and J. Turner Butler Blvd. Traffic Alert
      February 4 - February 10, 2012: Lanes will be closed nightly in both directions from Sunday, February 5 through Thursday, February 9. Single lanes and ramps will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and double lanes between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The nightly ramp closings include the northbound off ramps on I-95 to J. Turner Butler Boulevard and Emerson Street. This project should be finished by early 2013.

      February 4 - February 10, 2012: Lanes may be closed in both directions nightly from Sunday, February 5 through Thursday, February 9.       February 4 - February 10, 2012: Lane closings in both directions will occur within the project limits between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Monday, February 6 through Sunday, February 12. This project should be finished in the spring of 2012.

      Mathews Bridge Repainting and Repair Project Traffic Alerts
      February 4 - February 10, 2012: Both westbound lanes on the bridge will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the nights of Monday, February 6, Tuesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 9 and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the night of Wednesday, February 8. The bridge WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED from 7 p.m. on Friday, February 10 until 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 12. Detour traffic will use the Arlington Expressway, Cesery Boulevard to merge with University Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard to the Hart Bridge. This project should be finished by the summer of 2014.

      State Road 9A south of Baymeadows Road New Road Construction Traffic Alert
      February 4 - February 10, 2012: Single lanes in each direction may be closed nightly from Sunday, February 3 through Thursday, February 9 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction of the new SR 9B segment. Nightly lane closings on SR 9A are expected to continue until the end of the project. The new SR 9B section connecting Philips Highway and SR 9A should open in the fall of 2012.

      February 4 - February 10, 2012: One eastbound lane will be closed about one block from Roosevelt Boulevard at Water Oak Lane daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Tuesday, February 7 through Thursday, February 9 for roadway maintenance.
